7 Are We Good Listeners? Tape the “Lecture Questions” sheet into your journal under the same entry as your notes. You may use your notes to answer these questions. Time: 4 minutes

8 Let’s Look at Those Questions Again… Compare the answers from your Pre-Assessment to the answers from your Lecture Questions. Do you know the answers to each questions?  In your groups, answer each question. Tape your Pre-Assessment into your journal. Time: 3 minute

9 Reflect on the Lecture (under the same entry as your notes) Were your notes helpful in answering the Lecture Questions? What were 3 things you learned from the lecture? What were some challenges you faced during the lecture? What can you do to better prepare yourself for future lectures? Why did we subject you to this method of teaching?? Time: 4 minutes

10 “Becoming the Character” Within your group, choose a character and find a sentence spoken by that character (it may be more than one line!).  Copy that sentence into your journal.  Paraphrase the line in your own words.  On your own, describe in your journal how you think this sentence should be delivered by the actor/actress playing the part.  OPTIONAL: Come up with a “dramatic pose” for your character. Time: 5 minutes

11 “Becoming the Character” (GROUP SHARE) Share your deliver of your chosen sentence with your group. In your journals, write a brief comparison between your delivery and the deliveries of your groupmates. Time: 5 minutes

12 “Becoming the Character” Let’s have a volunteer from each group share their sentence! Any volunteers to share their pose?
