I. The Bible Is A Book For Everybody 3

Mt. 26:13 [13] Verily I say unto you, Wheresoever this gospel shall be preached in the whole world, there shall also this, that this woman hath done, be told for a memorial of her. 4

“God never intended for the Bible to be read by Americans, the Koran in the Middle East, the Torah in Israel, the writings of Confucius in South Asia….The Bible is for the inhabitants of the whole earth.” (Allen Webster) 5

1 Jn. 2:2 [2] And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. 6

Parts of the Bible have been around for 100’s of years The complete Word has been in human hands for some 2000 years 9

Ps. 119:89 [89] For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven. 11

1 Pet. 1:25 [25] But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you. 12

III. The Bible Is A Book For Every Age Of Life 13

We have classes for around 2 years old through adults We see how well our Pew Packers are doing 14

“The Bile is a guide to youth; it is a comfort to the old. As the young begin the journey of life, it clearly marks the way.” 15

Ps. 119:9-11 [9] Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. [10] With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. [11] Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. 16

1 Tim. 4:12 [12] Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. 17

IV. The Bible Is A Book For Every Situation 23

2 Pet. 1:3 [3] According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 24

To a thirsty man, God’s Word is water To a hungry man, God’s Word is food To a confused man, God’s Word is counsel 25

To a frightened man, God’s Word is a fortress To a poor man, God’s Word is gold To a growing man God’s Word is seed 26

To a lonely man, God’s Word is a companion To a hurting man. God’s Word is a comfort To a lost man, God’s Word is a map 27

V. Know your Bible so that you will know who you are 28

The Bible and only the Bible tells you: A. Where you came from B. Why you are here C. Where you are going 29

Gen. 1:27 – where we came from (origin) [27] So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 30

Why we are here (purpose) We are here on earth to prepare for heaven 31

Mt. 7:13-14 [13] Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: [14] Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. 32

Where we are going (destiny) NOTE – there is something after death Heb. 9:27 [27] And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: 33

Conclusion --- To a lost man, God’s Word is a map Jn. 14:6 [6] Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 38

Acts 4:12 [12] Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. 39
