5 Collaborators o Posner Family – funding o CMU Libraries - technology, know-how o Content  Rodef Beth Shalom Library & Archive  Rauh Jewish Archives, Heinz History Ctr  The Jewish Chronicle Office

9 Challenges o New information management system o Powerful, more sophisticated IMS – more difficult to use o Less technologically-savvy user group o Managing expectations

10 Challenges o Communication o People at CMU Libraries had little understanding of how genealogists work o People at partner organizations required additional training

11 Opportunities o Community outreach and service o Enabling digital access to rich local content o Preserving Pittsburgh Jewish heritage

12 Opportunities o Expanded understanding of user needs o Fostered productive dialog among partners o Improved presentation of metadata o Enhanced website functionality and design
