He wrote for the Daily,Texan and the Ranger.He published a story in 1944.His first full lengthed book, The Fabulous Empire.Old Yeller was considered his best work.

7. Sequence Papa promised Travis a horse. Travis found Old Yeller. The bulls were fighting. Arliss caught insects in his pockets. Arliss got cut by a fish. Arliss was holding on to the little bears leg. Travis changed his mind about Old- Yeller.

8. More Sequence Bud Searcy tried to take Old Yeller. They marked the cows. Travis fell out of the tree and hogs cut him. Travis came back for Old Yeller. Lisbeth brought Travis a puppy. Burn Sanderson tried to scare Travis with Old Yeller.

Summary With papa gone fourteen year old Travis having to take care of things.Dangers ahead like wolves,bears,hogs,and hydrofobia.But he rose and kept his family safe with an yellow mute named Old Yeller.That dog was the best thing that’s ever happened to him.the dog was more Travis’s than Arliss’s.But it was tragic when he had to shoot him
