Focus 2/25Focus 2/25 By 1933, Adolf Hitler had complete control of Germany. Like Mussolini in Italy and Stalin in the Soviet Union, Hitler created a totalitarian state. Once in power, Hitler instituted the Nuremberg Laws, which restricted the rights of the Jews in Germany. The Nuremberg Laws were an enacted as an attempt to remove Jews from German society. Next, Hitler forced Jews to wear yellow stars in an effort to single them out. Term to Know – anti-semitism
