Gatsby’s feelings: love or longing? He feels nostalgic He wants to recover the past, not Daisy. “He is longing. He is obsessed with the green light, which represents the past. He lives for recapturing the moments of the past”( 25).

Conclusion: can be the past relieved? Even you are not going to achieve your dream, it is worth to have one since having dreams give you life.
