With the prayer “Veni Domine, noli tardare” we ask Jesus to come to His Vineyard 27 Sunday – Ordinary Time - Year A

5th Part of the Gospel of Matthew (ch 21-25): “Your King enters humbly in Jerusalem” Place where the temple of Jerusalem was In the three parables of the Temple, Jesus opposes to the pride of the powerful: - To say “yes” and to do “not”. Last Sunday - Becoming owners, instead of serving. Today - To excuse of the commitment. Next Sunday

Rock of the sacrifices of the Temple

Mt 21:33-43 "Hear another parable. There was a master of a house who planted a vineyard and put a fence around it and dug a winepress in it and built a tower and leased it to tenants, and went into another country.

God gives you the Vineyard for you to cultivate it You are also a Vineyard… MOsaics of the Creation (Venice)

When the season for fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the tenants to get his fruit. And the tenants took his servants and beat one, killed another, and stoned another.

Tempted by the lure of domain, you have not borne fruit... What Land you have cultivated?

Again he sent other servants, more than the first. And they did the same to them.

You destroy each other, sharing in common the crime Do you break the chain of hatred, or do you favor it?

Finally he sent his son to them, saying, 'They will respect my son.' But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves, 'This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and have his inheritance.' And they took him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.

The powerful of this world SACRIFICED me… Each human being that you sacrifice is a Son of God…

When therefore the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?" 41 They said to him, "He will put those wretches to a miserable death and let out the vineyard to other tenants who will give him the fruits in their seasons."

The Kingdom is Life that beats in your hearts Now it’s time to harvest…

Jesus said to them, "Have you never read in the Scriptures: "' The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; this was the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes'?

The stone cast aside, is now the angular Do you realize that you’re building on dust an ash?

Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people producing its fruits.
