Threats for Global Health National and Regional Humanitarian Crises due to: War, Political Insecurity, Famine, Food and Nutritional Insecurity Environmental threats: draught and floods Economic Instability and Absolute Poverty Lack of resources: water and food HIV and AIDS and other emergent diseases (Avian Flu, Hemorrhagic fevers, etc)

Coordination Mechanisms o MOH with Partners A mature SWAp A strong and consistent engagement of donors A Five Year Plan and an Operating Annual Plan (PES) A single results framework (PAF or QAD Saúde) Code of Conduct and a MoU Joint Annual Review mechanism aligned to government reviews Pooling of funds (Budget support; PROSAUDE, Provincial Fund, and drugs fund in the process of consolidation and integration);

Challenges Proceed with the National policies, strategies Accelerate implementation of Food and Nutritional Security Provide that the more vulnerable population groups are considered when implementing all national strategies Improve the mechanisms of coordination with all partners within and outside the country.
