Determine how effective multisensory teaching methods, and learning can be. To demonstrate that this type of learning can help students understand information quicker. To demonstrate that this type of learning can help students retain information for a longer period of time.
3
When all senses are stimulated and emotions aroused, multiple memory pathways are engaged (Jensen, 2008, p. 163). Some children learn more effectively by observation, modeling, and apprenticeship rather than through verbal instruction (Berns, 2007, p. 246).
4
The teaching and learning method could be utilized at multiple levels of education. I will focus on the age group of 5-7 years of age due to the fact that children of this age group seem to be more impressionable and open to new information. At this stage of development, language, mental imagery, and many other skills grow greatly.
5
What learning styles address the students’ academic strengths and weaknesses? How effective are multisensory methods of teaching to the students? How effective do the students feel the method of multisensory teaching is?
6
Interviews and pre-assessments will be given at the onset of the program to determine academic strengths and weaknesses. Multisensory tools will be used in lessons throughout the program. Assessments will be given bi-weekly to track progress. A final interview and/or survey will be given to students to determine effectiveness of multisensory method

Data will be recorded and tracked through individual portfolios for each student. Tools of data collection will be labeled along with the results from each tool. The interview conducted upon completion of the program will aid in changing implementation of multisensory tools to increase effectiveness in lessons.
9
Parent and student permission will be acquired prior to the program. Regardless of gender, race, religion, or level of understanding, all students will be allowed to participate. Participation in the program will be optional and students who do not wish to participate will be placed in regular classes.
10
I plan to implement different multisensory tools, such as interactive videos into lesson plans. Different multisensory tools will be tested with lessons to determine their effectiveness. Information obtained will demonstrate the effectiveness of implementing multisensory tools into lesson plans.
