Sovereign Hill April 26 th -28th 2016
2
Only a number of weeks to go and we are gearing up for our exciting return to Sovereign Hill. We will be leaving New Gisborne and making our way to the goldfields of Ballaarat, to seek our fortunes.
3
We leave NGPS at 7:30am to arrive at Sovereign Hill at 9am.
4
You have received the order form to purchase photographs from Red Hill Photography before camp…they must be returned with payment by the due date
5
Sovereign Hill is a living museum, they take great care and pride to be as authentic to the goldfields of Ballaarat as possible. For this reason children are required to wear black or brown shoes or boots and knee length plain socks (socks… black, brown or grey for boys and preferably white for girls-there must be NO patterns, words or pictures on the socks )
6
Girls are asked not to wear plastic hair clips or scrunchies, but are requested to have their hair in plaits, tied with ribbons or elastic bands. All other items of costume are supplied. 7
Sweets/lollies etc This is always an issue whenever students attend camps or excursions. After discussion by all staff, we have resolved that………just like last year’s camp……and the year before…and the year before…
8
NO sweets NO sweets will be permitted on this trip.
9
Please support us in this decision. It does create an unpleasant situation on the excursion, if a few children choose to disregard an instruction, when all students are required to adhere to it. This will effect your choices and freedom while on camp.
10
Spending Money $25 is the suggested maximum amount for spending money. This money should be placed in a wallet or envelope with your name clearly visible. The money will be collected from you when we are settled on the bus.
11
Cameras You are welcome to bring cameras on the excursion, however you will need to take personal responsibility for them. No you cannot carry them with you when at the costumed school.
12
Medication Consistent with all other excursions, medication which needs to be administered by an adult, will need to be handed to your class teacher with accompanying directions and dosages either prior to or on the day of departure. Asthma sprays should be held by the individual child.
13
