2 2Info-Tech Research Group Vendor Landscape: Casino Management Systems Casino Management System (CMS) solutions have become more than just slot/game management, but the market remains dominated by a handful of vendors. Introduction Enterprises seeking to select a CMS solution. Those enterprises with a CMS use case that may include: Ease of interoperability based on integration standardization Platform deployment options Integration with proprietary iGaming solutions This Research Is Designed For:This Research Will Help You: Understand what’s new in the CMS market. Evaluate CMS vendors and products for your enterprise needs. Determine which products are most appropriate for particular use cases and scenarios.

3 3Info-Tech Research Group Vendor Landscape: Casino Management Systems Market overview Full-fledged casino management systems evolved out of the traditional slot management systems to become the heart of casino operations, managing the guest and casino interactions from tip to tail. Advances in functionality have brought unique bonusing modules, server-based gaming, reporting, and extensive player tracking features to CMS products. This has turned the CMS into much more than a central hub for operational data. Now, it’s running the operation. Vendors have started developing and touting more robust integrations with other key systems, including hotel-side room management, patron loyalty, and marketing/CRM systems. While many smaller, independent vendors have developed scaled-down CMS products, established vendors have maintained a stranglehold in North American casinos with full-function solutions. Increased reliance on the CMS to reconcile more and more data points around the patron and the casino operations have opened the door for big data and advanced analytics to move front-and-center of vendor offerings. Expect to see partnerships (or acquisitions) of BI and analytics providers as CMS vendors vie for position in this potentially game-changing field. The always-connected social customer is here to stay, and is no longer limited to the younger generation of patrons. Today’s player has many more dimensions than that of even five years ago, but CMS vendors still have some catching up to do in the social and mobile space. Cashless via TITO will move to cashless via mobile, and cross-platform/site social gaming will become the rule, not the exception. As online gaming moves forward with state-by-state regulation, CMS vendors are preparing to either offer or integrate with online casino products and services. How it got here Where it’s going As the market evolves, capabilities that were once cutting edge become default and new functionality becomes differentiating. Multi-site management and cashless have become Table Stakes capabilities and should no longer be used to differentiate solutions. Instead, focus on true real-time data, bonusing, and integration with other key systems to get the best fit for your requirements.
