Project-based learning hails from a tradition of pedagogy which asserts that students learn best by experiencing and solving real-world problems. students learning knowledge to tackle realistic problems as they would be solved in the real world increased student control over his or her learning teachers serving as coaches and facilitators of inquiry and reflection students (usually, but not always) working in pairs or groups

It focuses on a problem or an issue or topic that is relevant to students’ lives—the more directly, the better—or on a problem or issue that is actually being faced by adults in the world students will soon enter. It sets up a scenario or simulation that is realistic, even if it is fictitious. It involves tools, tasks, or processes used by adults in real settings and by professionals in the workplace.
