Jacksonian Democracy The Jacksonian Democracy was the political movement toward greater democracy for the common man symbolized by American Political Andrew Jackson and his supporters.

The Tariff Of Abominations The Tariff of 1829 was a protective tariff passed by the congress of the United States on May 19, 1829 designed to protect the industry in northern United States.

Andrew Jackson 7 th President Andrew Jackson was the 7 th president of the United States. Jackson was in office March 4, 1829-March 4, 1837. Jacksons president was John C Calhoun and Martin Van Boren.

Andrew Jackson nominated 2 times Andrew Jackson was the 7 th president but was also nominated 2 times. Back in 1822 the Tennessee legislative wanted Jackson nominated not once but twice. Andrew Jackson was also a senator in 1824.

Andrew Jackson and Rachel Donelson Shortly after Jackson arrived in Nashville, Tennessee in 1788 he lived with Rachel Stockley Donelson. She was unhappy with her marriage and got a divorce and ended up marrying Andrew Jackson. Before the marriage Rachel starting calling herself “Mrs. Jackson.”
