19
Challenges with a «web of data» 1.Most CMS systems are page oriented and cannot be used 2.Solutions are therefore custom made and expensive 3.Each solution has its own data format 4.Integration is hard
20
How do we overcome this?... a common standard for structured data on the web

The benefits from the Semantic Web has so far been reserved large companies! Why?

44
The challenges with CMS systems So how does this relate to the Web? Well a lot of the Web is HTML pages without much structure But there is an increasing amount of strcutured data aswell Data from other structured sources, but not much of these strcutured data but HTML becom a bottelneck Of course, all the same principles applies to content and data on the web There is more and more structured data out there Data from internal systems The same concepts applies to the web CMS systems are the front end of internal systems with structured data We are a normal CMS but our focus is strcutured Data This is the tpic of this presentation CMS HTML PAGES End users Other systems EXPENSIVE CUSTOM BUILT SYSTEMS EXPENSIVE CUSTOM BUILT SYSTEMS Structured Data
