Creating Groups within Your Class Choose Your Class Use Student Demographic Explorer (this is the quickest) “Check” box by students’ names you want in the group Click “Save” button at top right of panel New Window – Add Selected Students to a Group Name your group Click Save Click box by key symbol to choose this group for future reports

Viewpoint Reports Favorites Demographic NCLB/AYP Reports (MCA) Growth Reports (NWEA) Assessment Reports (DIBELS, ACT, MCA, etc.) Custom (created within District, list only) Grade Reports (Course Grades)

Side by Side Views of Reports (new) Load a Report Load Left or Right Side Panel Load another Report Load the other Panel Refresh

Mail Merge Create a Word Document to communicate to parents, student goal setting, etc. Choose the data from Viewpoint Save into an Excel Spreadsheet Click Mailings Tab Click Start Mail Merge – choose letter Click Select Recipients – choose Use an Existing List Locate your Excel Spreadsheet Click Insert Merge Field – list of your top row of spreadsheet will show, click in the Word Document where you want each piece of info Continue to do so for every spot you want merged. Click on Preview Results if you want to see what it's going to look like When ready, click on Finish & Merge and open a new document or print.
