2 Profile of a successful project coordinator  Rewind: In 2011 the NPP hosted their annual conference in Alta, Norway. One of the exercises conference attendees participated in was “NPP 2007- 2013- What works?” Results of “What Works”: -Identification of success factors. -Qualities required for successful project management: 1.Strong Leadership 2.Good Communication 3.Commitment 4.Flexibility & adaptability 5.Teamwork & plan of action

3 Profile of a successful project coordinator 2013 follow up: 1.Taking the qualities for success established at the 2011 AC & translating them into an “orientation profile’ of a future NPA project coordinator.

4 Profile of a successful project coordinator  How to establish a profile (All partners)? I. Using your expertise and experiences, answer the following questions individually to create - “Person Specification”.  What experience is necessary?  What personal characteristics are needed?  What education is suitable?

5 Profile of a successful project coordinator  II. In a group, discuss and create a list of the necessary attributes of a future NPA 2014 – 2020 project coordinator - “Person Specification”.

6 Profile of a successful project coordinator  III. In a group, discuss and make a “version of an NPP successful project coordinator” using the “happy person” template.  Use project experiences’ to illustrate

7 Profile of a successful project coordinator  IV. In a group, agree to the profile a successful project coordinator would have and present to the room.

8 Profile of a successful project coordinator  Facilitated discussion and creation of a combined NPP ‘happy person’.
