A GREAT CAMP on a GREAT LAKE!

Where is Camp Fitch? Camp Fitch is 100 miles away from Tallmadge located on the shores of Lake Erie. It takes about 2 hrs to get there. We will be traveling by bus! Camp Specific Goals 1. Study the GREAT outdoors. 2. Provide practical application in an outdoor setting of what is learned in the classroom. 3. Develop a healthy respect for the natural resources around us and an awareness 4. Share an insight of physical and recreational activities. 5. Help children think critically and develop self-reliance. 6. Establish a chance for all students to excel in different areas. 7. Develop an awareness of pioneering heritage of our country.

Bring a SACK LUNCH for Wednesday, drink is provided. Your packed lunch should be kept separate from your luggage. Except for lunch WEDNESDAY, all food you will need for the 3 days is provided. You should not pack any snacks, candy or goodies for camp. If you do not like the main entrée for the night, there is always a salad bar to make a salad.

Make sure to label EVERYTHING with your name! BEDDING Sleeping bag OR sheets and blankets (2), pillow and pillowcase. PLAN FOR ALL WEATHER TYPES Remember to pack some rain gear (raincoat, ponchos, boots, etc). You want to pack so that you can layer up! The weather can be hot one day and chilly the next!

You will be with this person ALL THE TIME at camp. Make sure to choose someone you know you will get along with at all times – a LOYAL FRIEND! It can be a student from the OTHER TEAM! Camp Fitch Partner

You will be sleeping in cabins with about 30 - 40 other students. Pack your SLEEPING BAG inside of a PLASTIC GARBAGE BAG, in case of rain! There are bathrooms in each cabin.

PARENT CHAPERONES We take a LIMITED number of parents. If you want your parents to go, return the Parent Chaperone page IMMEDIATELY to your HOMEROOM TEACHER. It is a FIRST COME - FIRST SERVE situation!

The COST of camp is $107.00 You will need to fill out and return the GREEN sheet at the end of the camp packet. If you take any medication that needs to go to camp with you, please list them on the GREEN sheet.
