Introductions & Housekeeping o Don’t forget to sign- in – your organization will not get credit if you leave early. o This presentation will be available on the OSLCC webpage under the Club Registration tab starting July 1.

Club/Organization Structure o The Office of Student Life and Cultural Centers (OSLCC) - Registers clubs/organizations and manages compliance. o Associated Students, Incorporated (ASI) - Funds the clubs and handles the finances. o Council Affiliation - Every club/organization MUST belong to a council and abide by council requirements.

o My Bronco Activity Record (myBAR) is a program designed to keep track of your club membership(s)and leadership role(s). o All registration information will be submitted in myBAR. All presidents were given the presentation at the Bronco Registration Conference on how to submit their application. o Deadline is NOVEMBER 4, 2016.

The Process o All registration steps are completed in myBAR Complete the Intent to Register form Submit the club/organizations proposed By-Laws for approval Read and Submit the Non-Discrimination Statement Read and Submit the Hazing Policy Acknowledgement Create a Complete Organization Profile: MUST include an organization description Create a Complete Organization Profile: MUST include a profile picture Input organization's entire Executive/Leadership Board Select an Advisor, and upload the signed and complete Advisor Application Workshops: MUST Attend Bronco Club and Organization Registration Conference (Presidents, Treasurers, & Schedulers) & New Club/Organization Workshop

Intent to Register o Describe the purpose of your club/organization o Describe a 3-year sustainability plan o Describe type of club

By-Laws Upload a copy of your proposed by-laws (sample on the OSLCC webpage starting July 1, 2016) Every club/organization MUST have by-laws MUST include the non-discrimination statement Public document Should be used to govern the activities of your club/organization

Organization Profile o Must add an organization description o Must create a URL for your organization o Must upload a profile picture o Primary Contact for organization o Other fields are not required, but encouraged! o Stop by the myBAR Lab for help with sprucing up your page!

Executive Board o Must have at least 3 Executive Board positions - president, treasurer, and scheduler o Must be in good academic standing 2.0 GPA cumulative and quarterly o Must be in good judicial standing o Must be enrolled in at least 9 quarter units o Must have at least 5 members & an Advisor to start your club/organization (3 (2) executive board members and 2 (3) other members)

Advisor o Every club/organization MUST have at least 1 on- campus advisor o Complete Advisor application o Full or part-time faculty or professional staff (non- auxiliary i.e. Foundation and/or ASI) o The Primary Advisor may not be on leave during any part of the year (i.e. sabbatical) o Must be at least 21 years old o Must be approved by the supervisor / Dept. Chair

Workshop Attendance o Input the name of the person/people that actually attended the workshops with the date of attendance o Must attend the a New Club Workshop AND the Bronco Club and Organization Registration Conference o Sport Clubs – you have additional requirements! Check in with ASI Campus Recreation.

Next Steps o BE PATIENT! New clubs won’t even be REVIEWED until Fall 2016. o Grades and judicial standing must be checked for all e-board members. o Once all steps in the process have been PROPERLY completed a council assignment recommendation will be made to the ASI Attorney General. The ASI Attorney General needs to look over your bylaws to make sure that they are compliant. o If the Attorney General has any concerns, they will email the proposed president, so check the email you list in the application.

Next Steps o Once your organization has been assigned to a council, you will receive notification that your club/organization is registered for 2015-2016 academic year. o Although the Attorney General may email you for concerns, all other communication pertaining to the registration process will happen in myBAR, so be sure to check your messages there frequently! We suggest logging in to myBAR at least once a week. o Check your “clutter” or “junk” email! o It may take 6-8 weeks for both OSLCC and the ASI Attorney General to review your application and to assign your council in Fall 2016.
