K&I service objectives To plan and build a comprehensive world class health intelligence system covering conditions, risk factors and wider determinants to meet the needs of our key stakeholders To plan and implement the contribution that we will make to local authorities, the NHS, PHE centres and regions To build a Web Portal that meets the K&I needs of the users of PHE services To work with PHE directorates in order to understand and meet their knowledge and intelligence needs based on PHE priorities To create a culture within the KITs and NCIN that values excellence, quality and innovation and strives for continual improvement To build the 8 KITs and NCIN into a cohesive, integrated and high performing national function, operating as a single team 3
