The Pleiades constellation is sometimes called the 7 Sisters. It’s technical name is M45. There were 11 stars actually mapped before the invention of the telescope. Pleiades means ‘sail’ in Greek, referring when they thought it was safe to sail

Visible from every inhabited place on the planet Most people see 6 stars, not 7 The Zuni of New Mexico called the Pleiades the “seed stars” because its disappearance in the evening sky every spring signals seed planting season.

The names of the 7 stars are Pleione, Maia, Electra, Alcyone, Taygeta, Merope, and Sterope One stars brightness changes, it is Pleione

Some people say they see as many as 20 different stars The Pleiades served as a calendar for many civilizations
