2 Many Americans worried that the economy would be in trouble after WWII. However, factories were able tot change from making wartime goods (like planes) to consumer goods (like cars). Americans also had more money to spend after the war because of their wartime jobs. They used that money to buy products they were not able to buy during the war.

3  The Soviet Union and the U.S. were not true allies (they only worked together because Germany was a mutual enemy)

4  Democracy - a type of government based on freedom for the people that is run by leaders chosen by the people  Communism - a type of economic system in which the government controls the wealth and owns all business
