Purpose of a Call to Action The purpose of the "Call to Action" is to get your reader to take action and do something about the topic you are discussing in your essay. A call to action encourages your reader to do something about your cause! This is the final statement in your Persuasive essay. These are the last words you will leave with your reader.

How to Write a Call to Action Think about what kinds of action your reader could take to help with your cause. How can your reader “do something” about what you’ve been persuading them to believe?
