3 The Church has grown: 1.Geographically 2.Culturally 3.Through New Leadership! 4.Through Doctrinal Conflict! 5.Through 3 Missionary Trips! 6.Through Maturing Disciples! 7.Through Costly Commitments!

5 Warnings & Commitments We are fools for Christ, we are weak, we are dishonored, we go hungry and thirsty, we are in rags, we are brutally treated, we are homeless, we work hard with our own hands. When cursed, we bless; persecuted, we endure; slandered, we answer kindly. We have become the scum of the earth! 1 Corinthians 4:10-13

6 Warnings & Commitments 1.We endanger ourselves every hour! 2.I die everyday! 3.I fought wild beasts! 1 Corinthians 15:30-32

7 Warnings & Commitments 1.We suffered hardships! 2.We were under great pressure! 3.We despaired of our lives! 4.We felt the sentence of death! But, we set our hope on God! 2 Corinthians 1:8-11

8 Warnings & Commitments We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned: struck down, but not destroyed. We who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus sake, so that His life may be revealed in our mortal body! 2 Corinthians 4:8-11

9 Warnings & Commitments As servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses; in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger. 2 Corinthians 6:4-5

10 Warnings & Commitments I worked much harder; In prison more; Flogged more; Exposed to death; Whippings 5x; Beatings 3x; stoned 1x; shipwrecked 3x; 24 hrs. adrift @ sea; Constantly on the move; in danger 8x; labored & toiled; often cold, gone w/o sleep, food, water & clothing! 2 Corinthians 11:23-27

11 Warnings & Commitments My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is perfected in weakness! 1.I will boast about weakness, so that Christ’s power may rest on me! 2.I delight in weaknesses, for when I am weak, then I am strong! 2 Corinthians 12:9-12
