The pilgrims who wanted to reach America were led by William Bradford from Holland.They wanted to live in America to be free.

The departure took place on September 6th, 1620 from the port of Plymouth. They were 128 on board. They took: -food and drink(Biscuits, beer, salt, beef...) -clothing (shoes, shirts, sewing needles...) -blankets, weapons, tools...

The trip lasted 66 days. They travelled in difficult conditions because it was cold. 40 people died and a child was born on board.

They arrived in America in Massachusetts on November 11th, 1620 and they named the place Plymouth where they spent their first winter. They landed aboard the boat.
