Meet Southern Baptists Our Mission Agencies North American Mission Board, Alpharetta, GA 2012 – Planted 929 new churches 2012 – Chaplains – 4,287 in military, disaster relief, hospitals etc. – 99,861 gospel presentations, 22,649 professions of faith & 4,684 baptisms Crossover New Orleans – 870 professions of faith Crossover Houston – Over 300 professions of faith

Meet Southern Baptists Our Mission Agencies North American Mission Board, Alpharetta, GA Nearly 5,000 missionaries 1900 – 1 SBC Church for every 3,800 people 2011 – 1 SBC Church for every 6,169 people in US. 2011 – 1 SBC Church for every 115,040 in Canada Challenge to plant 1500 churches each year to keep up with population growth and church closures.

Meet Southern Baptists Our Mission Agencies International Mission Board, Richmond, VA Approximately 5,000 missionaries aiming to reach 6.7 billion people outside the US who need Jesus Christ Currently 2,125 Unreached People Groups of greater than 100,000 population (CBC/Fulani of WA) 2012 - 300 new long term missionaries appointed 2012 – 294 new short term missionaries appointed

Meet Southern Baptists Our Mission Agencies International Mission Board, Richmond, VA 2012 – Over 300,000 professions of faith 2012 - 266,451 baptisms recorded 2012 Lottie Moon Goal $175 million 2012 Lottie Moon Offering - $ 149,276,303.72 = 3 rd largest in history! Praise the Lord! 2012 – 24,073 new churches 355,532 meeting in ongoing Bible Studies 51,547 in training to start new churches

5 Challenges: 1. Pray daily – for unreached & IMB missionaries working among them every day. 2. Give weekly – in support of missions (App. 21% of CBC offerings goes to missions) 3. Pray for revival & laborers for the harvest monthly 4. Participate in church mission trip yearly 5. Offer yourself as a personal witness daily for Christ for the rest of your life Dr. Tom Elliff IMB President

Highlights of Resolutions Passed Expressing disappointment & opposition to the BSA decision to admit openly homosexual youth – (we are not boycotting the BSA) Called on churches to protect children from & pray for victims of child sexual abuse Urging churches to become informed how to combat human trafficking and minister to victims

Highlights of Resolutions Passed Affirm the "immeasurable value to God" of people w/ "mental health concerns" and oppose "all stigmatization and prejudice" toward those with such problems Express opposition to laws that may result in health- care rationing for senior adults and encouraged ministry to the elderly

Highlights of Resolutions Passed Endorse possible probation and parole for some nonviolent offenders and called for churches to seek the "moral and spiritual transformation" of prisoners Calling for religious liberty for college students, military chaplains and service members, and religious liberty for employers regarding the health care they provide their employees

Highlights of Resolutions Passed Encouraging churches to pray "confidently, regularly, and fervently" for the president of the United States and other governmental leaders Urging all Southern Baptists "to tithe cheerfully to their local churches

Highlights of Resolutions Passed Celebrating the 125th anniversary of the Woman's Missionary Union and commending the organization for its faithful support of and involvement in missions Expressing appreciation for Billy Graham, who will turn 95 years old in November, and his evangelistic team and encouraging churches to participate in his organization's "My Hope" outreach campaign this fall

In order to have revival we must: 1.Have a love for the Scriptures – 2.Have a love for the Savior – 3.Have a love for others – Results – “By this all will know you are My disciples if you have love for one another. John 15:5 “Without Me you can do nothing”
