RCIA Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process of instruction through which a person is formed in the Christian life through instruction and by example of the parish community 1 st and 2 nd period 5/16 II. Three steps A. Catechumenate - time of instruction, they are called inquirers 5/18 B. Election - first Sunday of Lent they sign their names, enrollment, before the Bishop that they will be ready to receive sacraments at Easter. Now called Elect C. Initiation - the celebration of the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and the Eucharist at the Easter Vigil
