I enjoyed this poem because of the word choice and the rhythm
of it.

This poem has one the best verses ever
Describes his liver failure and his struggles in the hospital
“when we stop feeding them the earth. I had, it did seem, rehearsed the private office of the grave, ceased excreting, made corpse gases “

4. I felt a funeral in my brain by Emily Dickson
Uses the beating of drums to show the person losing care and emotion
At the end she seems to die. I think this is metaphorical of loss of hope and happiness
