What does the subculture provide that main culture does not give? For example: youth oriented magazines, web sites, older adult magazines, Exciting things to see and do that are typically sub culturally limited – only one main subculture participates 9

Availability of mechanical technology – cars, trucks, buses, trains, trams, motor bikes, jeepney, Availability of electronic digital devices – mobile phones, chat rooms, messaging, etc. 10

Note: age groups are a bit flexible, but the following will suffice… “Older adults” –born before 1945 Baby Boomers – 1945-1960 Generation X- 1961-1980 Generation Y (Millennials) – 1981-2000 Youth – 2001-present 11
