2. Indiana Jones is one of the most famous fictional characters of all time. Harrison Ford is known for his portrayals of Jones in the four Indiana Jones movies, Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), and Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (2008). Indiana Jones is an archeologist, and the professor of archeology at the fictional Marshall college, which funds all of his adventurous research trips. Indiana Jones is known for his iconic bullwhip and hat.

3. Indiana Jones’ quest is to recover the Ark of the Covenant before the Nazis can deliver it to Adolf Hitler. If the Nazis succeed, Hitler’s armies will become invincible. (Or do they?) ^ “YES! IT’S MINE!” ^  (Above) The Ark of the Covenant.

4. Jones’ skills are constantly put to the test; by his cleverness, cunning, and physical skills. Jones is tested by the indigenous Hovitos, his rival Rene Belloq, and the Nazi troops attempting to find the Ark of the Covenant. (Left) “Snakes. Why did it have to be snakes!?”

5. Some of Indiana Jones’ allies include his former lover Marion Ravenwood and his old friend Sallah, also known as “the best digger in Cairo”.

7. After Jones bluffs destroying the Ark in possession of the Nazis, he is captured along with Marion to witness the testing of the Ark’s power.

8. Near the end of the movie, the spirits of the Ark kill all the Nazis, allowing Indiana to take the Ark back to Washington, D.C. (Above) The opening of the Ark of the Covenant causes the Nazis to die a gruesome death.

9. The Ark is safety acquired in the possession of the United States. Although a skeptical Indiana does not think the Ark is being studied, (it is placed in a secret government warehouse) it was successfully kept away from the hands of the Nazis. Although it’s a shame Hitler himself didn’t open the Ark. :P
