4. Eli Cohen’s famous work is kind of a little bit of spying: he planted trees. The Syrians dug bunkers deep into the mountains, and they were hard to see, so it would be hard to know where to bomb the Syrians. Eli Cohen told the Syrians that since it was so hot outside, they should build trees by the bunkers. The Syrians listened, but what they didn’t know was that it was all a big trap.
