Reflexive Verbs Reflexive Verbs show that the subject acts upon itself. Example: Juan brushes his teeth. Example: You combed your hair. Example: I shave my face.

Conjugating Reflexive Verbs Reflexive verbs conjugate the same way regular verbs conjugate with a small change. Let’s review our endings for regular verbs first.

-AR- verbs The endings are as follows: Yo o Nosotros amos Tú as Él, ella, ud. a Ellos, ellas, Uds. An

-ER-/-IR- verbs The endings are as follows: Yo o Nosotros emos/imos Tú es Él, ella, ud. e Ellos, ellas, Uds. en

Conjugating Reflexive Verbs To conjugate a reflexive verb, you must first determine what the reflexive pronoun is. Then, follow all steps for a regular conjugation. The reflexive pronoun must go in front of the conjugated verb. Example: Juan brushes his teeth. Juan se cepilla los dientes. I shave. Yo me afeito.

Reflexive Pronouns Reflexive Pronouns identify the subject. They are: Me (I) Te (You) Se (He, she) Nos (We) Se (They, you all)

Practice Conjugate the following sentences. 1. I comb my hair. (peinarse) 2. You take off your shoes. (quitarse) 3. Pablo showers himself. (ducharse) 4. We wake up early. (despertarse) 5. They bathe themselves. (bañarse)
