3. Introduction New Brunswick Objective: To ensure the smooth flow of people, goods and services across our borders while meeting security enforcement requirements.

Border Crossings – Regional Importance New Brunswick is the gateway for trade in the Atlantic Provinces: Highway infrastructure leading to borders is critical. $7 billion of Atlantic Region exports travel to the US on New Brunswick roads. $3 billion is imported from the US to the Region. NB is the #1 export dependent province in Canada.
