2. Weebly  My main technology, as it is where I have stored all of my work.  It is an online blog website, which I can upload videos, text, links, and pictures, etc. to.  It was crucial, as it was where I could display and organise all of my work.

3. YouTube  This is the second most important technology I have used.  This is where I sourced the existing trailers and music, which I then used to look for similarities and differences, and incorporate them in to my plan.  I also uploaded my final product on to it, then linked it on to Weebly.  It allowed me to upload it in HD quality, as well as the option to convert it to 3D, tag it so more people can watch it, as well as edit it after I uploaded it.

4. Microsoft Word  This is used to create text documents digitally.  I used this to create a table of pros and cons on the two film genres i had to choose between.  I eventually realised that Film Noir would be easier to create and film, rather that that of a Western, however it was up to my target audience to decide.  I also used it to write my script, as I could change font to express different meanings, e.g. Singing or sound effects.

5. Survey Monkey  This is used to generate a questionnaire, to ask people questions.  I used this on Weebly to ask my target audience which genre they preferred, Western or Film Noir.  They chose Film Noir, which is why my film is of that genre.  This technology also made the audience feel in control, as they chose the genre, which in turn decided the outcome of the final product.

6. Microsoft Publisher  This is used to generate posters and other types of documents digitally.  I used this to generate a plan for the posters and lobby cards, as well as the magazine covers, as it is a simple, yet professional piece of software to do so with.  I also used it to create the final pieces as I felt comfortable and confident using it, however I edited the photos on another piece of software first.

7. Adobe Photoshop  This is used to edit photographs and pictures.  I used it to crop the background out of the images, and place them on a new background, which would fit better with the Film Noir genre.  An example of this is on the magazine cover, where I removed the background from a picture of my main character, and replaced it with a weathered brick wall.

8. Windows Movie Maker  This is used to create videos, simply and easily.  However it is very basic, as it only has simple transitions and effects.  I would liked to have had a more advanced editing software, so I could insert better effects, or to have used a green screen.

9. Audacity  A music editing program.  I used this to modify the soundtrack used, as well as change some of the speech so it came out clearer.  I also used it to record the voice over, as well as edit it.

10. ImTOO Video Convertor Ultimate  A video convertor.  I used this to increase the quality of the trailer, so it looked better when uploaded to YouTube.

11. Nikon Canon 350D digital Camera  A high quality SLR digital camera.  I used this to take photographs of the behind the scenes, as well as promo pictures, such as that on the magazine cover.  This is my personal camera, so I took the photographs myself.

12. iPhone 5s  A mobile device by Apple.  I used this as my main recording device, as it is a small high quality device, which I could easily transfer the videos off of.  Another reason I used this due to not being able to access any other form of recording device.

13. SNS  To increase publicity, as well as get audience feed back, I shared the link for my video over various Social Networking Sites, such as Twitter and Facebook.  Facebook – Shared amongst friends and family, so they can like and comment upon the video.  Twitter – I used this to ask my friends what they thought of the trailer. However I also decided to use hashtags to label the link, so strangers could watch and comment more honestly on the trailer, as they don not know me and would not give biased opinions.

14. What I Could Have Used To Improve My Video  To improve my Trailer, I could have used, but didn’t due to lack of resources at school;  Green screen  Better video/sound editing software  Better recording equipment  Better locations.  The main reason I could not gain access to these resources is due to the school not having a specialised media department, so the school loses out on many technologies that are easily available to other centres of education.
