3. Passive Voice (be + V3) ► Somebody cleans this room every day. ► (active) ► This room is cleaned every day. ► (passive) ► The object of the active verb becomes the subject in the new sentence.

4. Passive Voice in Present, Past and Future Simple. Present Present Simple Simple Am/is/are + V3 The work is done. Past Past Simple Simple Was/were + V3 The work was done. Future Future Simple Simple Will be + V3 The work will be done.

8. Remember ► If we want to say who does the action, we use by: ► This house was built by my grandfather. ► If somebody does the action with the help of instruments, we use with: ► Meat should be cut with a knife.

9. Choose the right preposition: ► This big tree was cut down …. Jim. ► The poem was written …. Pushkin. ► Those pictures were painted …. colored pencils. ► A soup is eaten …. a spoon. ► This work will be done …. him. ► Cheese is cut … a special knife.
