3 When do we use Passive Voice? 1.We use the passive when we do not know who did the action or when it is not important to say who did it. was made Our car was made in Korea. 2. We also use the passive to make the topic of a conversation into the subject of the sentence. was bitten The dog bit a girl. The girl was bitten by a dog. 3. We usually make the person the subject of a passive sentence. Some verbs have two objects: ask, pay, bring, send, sell, lend, offer, promise, tell. They gave Diana a camera. person thing was given Diana was given a camera. was given A camera was given to Diana.

4 Let’s have some drills!
