4 Desirable Employee Qualities Willingness to Follow Directions ▫Vital skill for any job ▫Listen carefully, even if you are already familiar with the instructions given ▫Take notes if possible ▫Ask questions

13 Ethical Behavior Handling Unethical Practices ▫Ask if isolated incident or ongoing practice ▫If deliberate, don’t ignore but handle carefully ▫If harassed by a client/customer, walk away and report to supervisor ▫If harassed by coworker, inform you won’t tolerate; still problem, then talk to supervisor

14 Ethical Behavior Handling Unethical Practices ▫If harassed by unethical employer  Keep written record by describing incident and noting date and time  Check with others and get their perspective  Check your motives  Collect evidence, if appropriate  Decide whether to be anonymous or in the open  Report facts or observations, and DON’T EXAGGERATE
