Asbestos Area South of Housing Area  May 2014 – Asbestos discovered; increased SFS patrols and installed warning signs at road entrances to the area  Oct 2014 - Fenced the area to restrict access  AFCEC managing project - Timeline:  Project awarded to USACE to develop a Remedial Investigation Work Plan  Draft expected Mar 2015  Partner with IDEQ and EPA  Follow on project late FY15 (early FY16) to include field investigation  Next step in process will be negotiated with regulators  Base will continue to work in partnership with AFCEC, IDEQ, and EPA to conduct the assessment and develop an action plan
