Cape Buffalo By: Kaden Searcy Cape buffalo are different from other animals.

Description A cape buffalo is a mammal. A cape buffalo have horns up to fore feet long. A male cape buffalo weighs up to 2,000 pounds. A female cape buffalo weighs up to 1,000 pounds.

Habitat Cape buffalo live in the African savanna. The African savanna is very grassy. There is up to 1,000 cape buffalo in a herd. The African savanna has a very dry season and some times its really wet.

Diet A cape buffalo is an herbivore. Cape buffalo drink a lot of water. Cape buffalo eat a lot of shrubs and other plants. Cape buffalo graze. Cape buffalo eat with out chewing and bring up a cud.

Survival A cape buffalo does not have many predators. A cape buffalo hits its predators using its large horns. Cape buffalo kill up to 100 people a year. Cape buffalo can’t see well. So they smell to kill.
