What we do? In general, we build the robot(s) Main competitions include: – VEX Robotics Competition (VRC) – FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) [well maybe not this year] – FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC)

FIRST Robotics Competition Big robots – Alliances of 3 Sub-teams: – Drive – Articulation – Electrical – Programming – Strategy Director – Systems Engineers

Build Process CAD – All ideas are required (we try) to be CADed Prototype – Test which articulation or manipulator works better Machine – We have machine shop in order to machine aluminum stock Build Wire, program, and test

Drive The base of the robot – Wheels, chassis, motors, gears CAD & Machine If you can drive, you can compete

Articulation Manipulator – Touches game objects Articulation – System which moves game objects CAD, prototype, machine

Electrical Wires robot Provides energy and control to all motors Must be secure, compact, and neat

Programming Provides coding to control the robot Uses sensors and other inputs Testing and verification

Strategy Scouting for alliances and opponents Communication with pit area
