Guidance Standard – Standard 4 10 Quality Indicators Evaluated every 5 years on rotating basis We have changed the documentation required However, some documentation is required by Perkins Legislation Guidance Self-Study will replace much of the documentation

Guidance Self-Study We looked at the ASCA National Guidance Standards as a model We compared guidance plans from numerous states Oklahoma is unique so we designed our own plan We solicited input from the field & ODCTE staff We rolled out the Guidance Self-Study in August 2012

Guidance Self-Study We will discuss this document with the Student Services staff We will have been in communication for the past 5 years so there shouldn’t be any surprises at accreditation time Hopefully stress levels will go down

Guidance Self-Study How the student services staff rates themselves on the self-study does not determine whether or not they will pass the accreditation standard Ratings are meant to change from year to year depending upon where the tech center is in the process of improvement

Counselor Evaluation Rubric Held meeting at Tulsa Technology Center, Health Sciences Center on November 28 All tech center districts involved in Tulsa TLE were invited to send 1-2 counselor representatives 26 out of the 28 technology center districts sent representatives Gene Kleindienst facilitated the discussion and did an excellent job

If extra documentation is needed for the counselor evaluation, this listing could be used to help identify what responsibilities could be in each individual counselor’s evaluation components. This listing serves only as a resource to help customize data needed for evaluation purposes.
