One Minute Speeches: Assign topics to groups, explain instructions for One Minute Speeches, give students two minutes to prepare, begin presentations. Provide feedback following presentations. Ask other students to give feedback on presenters’ volume, eye contact, posture, gestures and word choice.

4. Tongue Twisted For this activity you will need to arrange yourself into groups of four or five. Take turns reading the tongue twisters out loud to your group. If you make a mistake, start over from the beginning. Continue until all of the tongue twisters have been read out loud.

Instant Experts: One Minute Speeches You will be making a group presentation to the class Your topic will be selected at random Each person needs to speak for one minute, once the minute is up, the next person begins speaking on the same topic Once everyone has spoken, your group is finished You will have two minutes to prepare starting now.
