2. Welcome to St. Peter! During the season of Epiphany, Jesus reveals that he is God’s Son and the promised Savior of all mankind by his mighty deeds (miracles) and powerful words. In today’s gospel lesson, Jesus performed his first of many miracles as he changed water into wine at a wedding reception in Cana. Jesus thereby revealed his glory as the heavenly Bridegroom who deeply loves and cares for his radiant and beautiful bride, the Church!
