2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. Vaajtswv txujlug txhua zaaj puavleej yog Vaajtswv tshoov tuabneeg lub sab kuas tuabneeg sau. Vaajtswv txujlug yog txuj kws qha qhov tseeb, qhuab ntuag tug kws ua txhum, paab tau tug kws ua txhum, hab qha kuas suavdlawg paub ua lub neej ncaaj nceeg. Isaiah 55:10-11 As the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. What does this promised about God’s Word? Nuav coglug le caag txug Vaajtswv Txujlug?

GOD’S WORD CONTAIN GOD’S POWER AND AUTHORITY, SO WE MUST PREACH GOD’S WORD! “Qhov kws yuav paab Kx. Ntxoov Riam dlau lug ua ib tug xwbfwb kws effective yog nwg txu tau fwjchim hab xob khaav theeb.” “Kx. Ntxoov Riam, zoo le Kx. Ntxoov Laaj tsi nyam koj vim nwg pum has tas koj tsi txu fwjchim hab koj khaav khaav theeb.”

“No sermon is God glorifying if it ignores (tsi siv) or mishandles (siv tsi yog) God’s Word.” Douglas Sean O’Donnell, Interpretation and Application, p. 5

1. INTERPRETATION: EXEGETICAL WORK (POWER OF THE SERMON) 2. FORMATION: SERMON STRUCTURE/ FORM (PACKAGE OF THE SERMON) 3. PROCLAMATION: SERMON DELIVERY (PRESENTATION OF THE SERMON)
13
I believe that the sermon will rise or fall biblically on the preacher’s ability to develop the main idea and accurately apply that idea. If the pastor or preacher does not exegete the passage correctly and nail down the main idea of the passage, then the sermon has no solid ground to stand on. This will undermine the biblical authority of the sermon. Therefore, the first step in preaching a biblical sermon is to establish the main idea of the passage.
14
1.SUBJECT (What are you talking about? Koj has txug dlaabtsi?) 2.COMPLEMENT (What are you saying about what you want to talk about? Koj has dlaabtsi txug yaam ntawv?) “The Love of God leads us to salvation.” “Vaajtswv txujkev hlub coj peb lug rua txujkev cawmdlim.”
15
It is a single concise statement that reveals the main focus of the passage or the text.
