IC6.16.5 Wash labels © Oxford University Press Washing instructions are shown as a bowl of water. The number inside is the maximum water temperature. A line underneath tells you to use a special wash for synthetic fabrics. A cross over the symbol tells you not to wash the item. 40°

IC6.16.5 Wash labels © Oxford University Press Tumble-drying instructions are shown by a square with a circle inside. A cross over the symbol means do not tumble dry. One dot inside indicates a cool drying temperature. Two dots mean a hot temperature can be used.

IC6.16.5 Wash labels © Oxford University Press A circle shows that it's safe to dry-clean the item. The letter inside tells the dry-cleaners what type of solvent to use. A cross over the circle means do not dry-clean.
