“There is no place like home” MOTHERLAND It is the place you were born in The whole country where you live “East or West, home is best”
3
Everybody has his native place, Everybody prides himself on it. But I don’t know any place with so much grace Except my native village, I admit.
4
And is the village large? Oh, no! It’s just a hamlet in a ring. At times it rains, at times it snows, And sometimes comes a gentle breeze. NIZHNIY NARATBASH
5
Nizhniy Naratbash is situated in the Buinsk district on the 3d kilometers far to the north of Buinsk. Our village borders : on the village of Cherki-Grishino in the north-west, n the village of Frolovo in the north, oonBuinsk in the south and n the village of Bickmuraz in the east. In the south it’s washed by the Sviyaga river. It’s a quiet place surrounded by fields and woods. Our village is for people who are looking for peace and a lovely rural environment. There are 400 houses in Nizhniy Naratbash and nearly 1200 people live here.
6
Nizhniy Naratbash is a modern village. There is gas, water, electricity in the houses. The most of the houses are big, new and nice. House building is well developed.
7
There is a secondary school in the centre of the village. The school is two- storeyed brick building which has its own patch of land. The pupils of our school have a wonderful opportunity to develop their talents, because there are variety of clubs in our school, such as an aerobics and a music hobby-groups and even a drama society.
8
The club is a place where young people come to discos. Sometimes films are shown in it. Usually concerts are held here, which are performed by singers and dancers from different towns and cities. A regular guest to our club is Renat Rahmatullin, a famous composer and singer of Buinsk district who is very popular with the population of the village. Maybe it’s due to the fact that he was born in our village.
9
Next to the club there is the village library which is very rich in books in fact. In front of the club you can see a monument to the soldiers in honor of their heroism during the World War II.
10
People prefer to go to the private shops which are rather numerous. The choice is really very good there and products are always fresh. The shops abound in food and clothes so people needn’t go to Buinsk to do shopping.
11
As the people of my village are religious there is a mosque in the centre of Nizhniy Naratbash. Old men gather here every Friday and pray to the God asking for health, for good life, good luck and well- being of our village.
12
Speaking about nature one cannot deny the fact that it’s beautiful. There is a big forest next to our village. We have got a very magnificent lake which is big and nice. People like fishing and boating there. The village is surrounded by fields on which herbs and berries grow. The river Sviyaga flows near Nizhniy Naratbash.
13
Most people of my village work at the plants and offices of the nearest town Buinsk Buinsk sugar plant Buinsk spirit plant
14
The other part of population is engaged in cattle-breeding, beekeeping, poultry- breeding and gardening.
15
Living in the countryside is cheaper and safer than in a city. I absolutely agree life here is quiet, peaceful and healthy. You can be closer to nature and enjoy sunlight and fresh air. But unfortunately so more and more young people flee from Nizhniy Naratbash for a better life in the city.
16
I can honestly say that I don’t want to live anywhere else but in my native village. I was born here and I’m not going to leave it. Firstly I like its beautiful nature. Another reason is its people, interesting and friendly. I can’t imagine my life in another place without my relatives and friends, customs and traditions of my village.
17
I sing a song of my native village When everyone is deep in sleep Under wet stars, under wild winds Finding their way home.
