Matrix AssessmentN.Morey@bury.gov.uk3 What is it? An assessment of the disabled person. An assessment of the present level of support. An assessment of the carers situation. Using standard statements which are scored, the greater the need for intervention the higher the score

Matrix AssessmentN.Morey@bury.gov.uk4 How is it used for Short breaks All eligible people and carers are assessed. Scores are ranked high - low Resource (bednights - vouchers - money) is divided by the scores (co-efficient). Each person then receives an allocation based on their score. Customer negotiates with provider over actual periods to be used.
