Things to Consider Before You Start Do you see a need? Are you willing to participate under the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 Unported License? Do you know how to use Microsoft PowerPoint or OpenOffice Impress? Do you know how to make screenshots? Do you know how to create/copy images? Do you know how to make email attachments?

How to Make a HOW2 Presentation Set up the desktop to the image you want Click on the Print Screen button to take a picture of the desktop Open the presentation software (PowerPoint or Impress) Paste the image from the clipboard into the application Add the narrative to the speak note section Continue as needed!

The Title Page The following should be on the title page: The title of your HOW2 presentation Your name The date (month, year) Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial- Share Alike 3.0 Unported License

Tips On Making a Great HOW2! Be very specific with your HOW2 Add lots of instructions to your narrative Set the desktop to 800x600 (Control Panel / Display / Settings) Hide the Task Bar (R-click on Start / Properties) Have others review it for their input Keep it short, less than 12 slides best

When Done, Then What? When you are done with your HOW2 presentation, please email it to: mwestlund@olympic.edu On the Subject line, please start with “HOW2” Attach your.ppt as a PowerPoint 97 document Please include your name, email, phone, and agreement to the Creative Commons Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike License

When Done, Then What? Your HOW2 presentation will be reviewed If there are no issues, it should be posted within three days normally You will be notified of its placement And then you can feel good about giving back to the OC community by helping others!
