2 AP WORLD HISTORY CRASH COURSE BY JAY HARMON Reading Quiz Grade  You will have a Reading quiz on the following:  Ch. 2 terms  Ch 3 p. 33-40 Test Grade  You will have a Map Test during the first two weeks of school on the following:  p. 28, you need to know the regions on the map & the major nations in each region  for example you need to know China is in East Asia, and India is in South Asia Flash Cards hand written  During the first week of school you will have a project grade for the following:  Turn in 200 flash cards total with the appropriate information (1/2 point each)  160 cards will be from Ch.2-19 (8 to 10 cards from each chapter)  40 cards will be from Ch. 20-26

3 160 FLASH CARDS ON CH. 2-19 40 CARDS WILL BE FROM CH. 20-30 (FOCUS ON CH.20-26) The next slide shows the appropriate information each card needs An example is provided on slide #5 Flash Cards should focus on the following information: --Test Tips, --comparison & contrast information --st words: like most impact, largest empire, first, longest lasting, etc. --continuity & change information

7 A NOTE ON THE CLASS AP World is a challenging class. The class is a process. You may not perform well at the beginning of the year, but with consistent hard work you will grow academically & you will end up with a good grade. The class is for students who enjoy one or more of the following: historyreading writingthinking being challengedconsistently working hard earning college credit
