Product group definition Copying and graphic paper 1.The product group ‘copying and graphic paper’ shall comprise sheets or reels of unprinted paper which are used for printing or copying or writing or drawing. 2.Newsprint, thermally sensitive paper and carbonless paper are not included in the product group.

25. Criterion 1a: COD, Sulphur (S), NOx: Emissions to water and air The emissions of COD, S, and NOx must be compared to a reference value: P<1,5 Sum of P (COD, S, and NOx)< 3,0 Must be documented by the paper mill and all pulp used

26. Criterion 1b: AOX  AOX emission <0,25 kg/ADT  Must be documented by the paper mill and all pulps used

27. Criterion 1c: CO2 The emissions of carbon dioxide from non-renewable sources shall not exceed 1 000 kg/t paper (1100 for non integrated mills) Must be documented by the paper mill

28. Criterion 2 a: Electricity The electricity consumption related to the pulp and the paper production shall be expressed in terms of points (PE). The number of points, PE, shall be less than or equal to 1,5. Must be documented by the applicant – information from pulp suppliers and paper mill

29. Criterion 2 b: Fuel (heat) Fuel (heat): The fuel consumption related to the pulp and the paper production shall be expressed in terms of points (PF) as detailed below. The number of points, PF, shall be less than or equal to 1,5 Must be documented by the applicant – information from pulp suppliers and paper mill

30. Criterion 3: Fibres Types of fibres (virgin and recycled) Virgin fibres: certified sustainable> 10% Virgin fibres: rest must be managed in a sustainable way

32. Criterion 4a: Hazardous chemical substances - chlorine Chlorine gas shall not be used as a bleaching agent. This requirement does not apply to chlorine gas related to the production and use of chlorine dioxide. Information from the pulp producer
