Articles are Adjectives Articles: a, an, the (Don’t write examples.) The pretty retriever and a fluffy pink poodle played together in the park. An orange is a good source of vitamin C. This is an honor.

Identify the Adjective(s) On winter afternoons, I slowly walk home. On winter afternoons, I slowly walk home. winter = adjective modifying “afternoons” slowly = adverb (describes how I walk) At last, I reached my peaceful home. The wet sidewalk glistens in the bright lights. wet = adjective modifying “sidewalk” wet = adjective modifying “sidewalk” bright = adjective modifying “lights” the = adjective/article modifying “sidewalk/lights” glisten = verb…it is what the sidewalk is doing
